Joan & Jody Visit

Joan and Jody visted us in London. Al picked them up from "Lion King". We packed in loads for the two days they were here. They saw the flat, for the first time since it's been done up. They were suitably impressed - and I, proud. On the second night, we had a little celebration for Roderick, who's going to be a Dad. Jake, who was working in London for that week, came round as well. On the last day we went to Covent Garden, visited the Royal Opera House, the Theatre Museum, which was fascinating.
We crossed the river to the South Bank and were lounging in the National Theatre foyer when there was a sudden influx of people, it was an interval. We didn't even know the play, "The House of Bernada Alba", it was Joan who suggested we find a seat for the second half (I wouldn't have dreamt of suggesting such a thing to my neice and sister-in-law, up from the country). The theatre was full, but we were lucky to find good seats at the side. It was an all-woman caste - brilliant!
